QUATERMAIN Vol 2

QUATERMAIN – The New Adventures Vol 2

Airship 27 Productions announces the release of their latest title featuring a beloved action adventure protagonist. H. Rider Haggard’s classic hero, Alan Quatermain, returns in three brand new adventures all set on the Dark Continent.  Thomas Kent Miller’s novella has the big-game hunter traveling to Ethiopia to search for the fabled Library of Alexandria.  Erik Franlin pits him against an ancient cult of assassins while Alan J. Porter has the skilled tracker stuck in the middle of the Boer War trying to find the source of a diamond smuggling operation.

“This is a fun series for us,” declares Airship 27 Productions’ Managing Editor, Ron Fortier. “The response to volume one was so overwhelmingly positive. It has already been done as an audio book from Radio Archives and demand for more stories hasn’t stopped since we released that first book.”

Artist Graham Hill provides the cover to this second anthology while Clayton Hinkle, who provided interior illustrations for Vol 1 returns to add another dozen great pieces.  All under the supervision of Art Director Rob Davis.  Fortier adds, “We trust our readers will welcome this new collection. In regards to this series, believe me, we’re just getting warmed up.”

Now it is time to enjoy three fast paced, original tales that capture the mystery and adventure of a wild, untamed land and the man who loved it above all else.  Journey with him and embrace the magic that was and remains Africa.

WINGS OF THE GOLDEN DRAGON

AIRSHIP 27 PRODUCTIONS
Presents
WINGS OF THE GOLDEN DRAGON

Airship 27 Productions is thrilled to present a brand new fantasy adventure novel that is actually the prequel to Ms Doran’s first book, “Claws of the Golden Dragon.”

“We met Barbara Doran at Pulp Fest a few years ago,” recounts Airship 27 Productions Managing Editor, Ron Fortier.  “She was interested in writing New Pulp and we passed along our Submission Guidelines to her.  A few months later we received the manuscript to ‘Claws of the Golden Dragon,’ a terrific book we were only too happy to publish.”

After the success of that initial book, Doran opted to try something different for her second novel.  “Most of the first book takes place in a fictional city on the West Coast,” Fortier continues. “And is populated by some truly wonderful characters, both real and magical. This time Barbara thought it might be fun to go back in time and explore some of their origins.  Thus the inspiration for her new prequel book.”

1930s Shanghai was a place of excitement and intrigue... and magic. It is an international hotspot where foreign agents from around the world ply their trade. Brought to Shanghai to investigate a powerful new aircraft engine, young Conall McLeod becomes embroiled in a high-stakes game between gangs, spies and immortal beings. Together with his beloved Mudan Chang and hot-shot Chinese pilot, Feng Zhanchi, Conall must navigate the dangerous waters of the city's criminal undercurrents and help free a lost immortal from the clutches of evil.

Writer Barbara Doran spins a fantastic tale of action and mystery filled with some of the most memorable characters ever conceived.  Artist Gary Kato returns to offer up nine interior illustrations and Art Director Rob Davis provides the cover to this fast paced fantasy thriller. Whether deep within the cities maze of dark alleys or high atop an ancient castle of evil, no one will be able to escape from The Wings of the Golden Dragon!

THE PICTURE OF INNOCENCE

Airship 27 Productions is proud to present Chuck Miller’s brand new, full length Sherlock Holmes novel, “The Picture of Innocence.”

The year 1885 finds Doctor John H. Watson down on his luck. His prospects look bleak until a chance encounter leads him to a meeting with another literary-minded young physician named Arthur Conan Doyle. Together, they hatch a plan for a series of works based on the adventures of Watson’s roommate, the Consulting Detective Mr. Sherlock Holmes.
Then a very attractive young lady, Mary Morstan, arrives at 221 B Baker street seeking help.  Soon Holmes and Watson are drawn into the dark world of the Sholto brothers, a web of blackmail and murder. Even with the assistance of a rising playwright named Oscar Wilde, Holmes finds himself taxed to the limit of his powers when his own darkest secrets are exposed.  What truths lie beneath the surface of the Picture of Innoncence?
“Miller is one of the finest writers in New Pulp,” reports Airship 27 Productions’ Managing Editor, Ron Fortier. “There is originality to his writing unlike anything else out on the market today. CAPTAIN HAZZARD : CUSTER'S GHOST

TWO PULP HEROES UNITE!

Airship 27 Productions is thrilled to bring together two of pulpdom’s most unique and colorful heroes in one fast paced, all action adventure; “Captain Hazzard – Custer’s Ghost” by award winning New Pulp writer Ron Fortier.

When an eerie ghost rider appears on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation and begins butchering innocent lives, native superstitions are fueled.  Could this wraith actually be General George Armstrong Custer returned from the dead to seek retribution for his massacre at the Battle of Little Bighorn?  Then, when gangsters attempt to kidnap a Sioux Princess at a prestigious college in New York, Captain Hazzard and his team of adventurers soon find themselves flying to Montana to unravel a truly bizarre mystery.

Accompanying them is Jim Anthony, the famous Super Detective, along with his grandfather, the Comanche shaman, Mephito.  Somewhere in those rugged mountains and plains lies a secret from the past that will change Anthony’s life forever.  But to uncover it, he and the Hazzard will have to risk all and solve the mystery of Custer’s Ghost!

Fortier, the author, and Airship 27 Productions’ Managing Editor, had long wanted to bring both these great heroes together.  “It’s no secret to pulp fans that both were originally invented to copy the legendary Doc Savage,” Fortier related during a recent interview.  “Whereas Jim Anthony went on to have multiple adventures, Captain Hazzard only ever appeared in one issue of his own title and then vanished.  Throughout the years he’s been known as the One Hit Wonder.”

Since beginning Airship 27 Productions, over a decade ago, Fortier and partner, Art Director Rob Davis, have devoted themselves to continuing the adventures of lesser known pulp heroes such as Captain Hazzard and Jim Anthony. To date the company has released four books featuring the Super Detective in anthologies, while Fortier took it upon himself to write the new exploits of the Champion of Justice.

“Custer’s Ghost” has been three years in the making and the author is all too aware that readers have been overly patient awaiting its completion.  The book features interiors by Davis and a stunning cover by Pat Carbajal.  “In the end I hope they will think the wait was worth it,” Fortier says hopefully.  “Just don’t ask me when number six is coming?”

REESE JOINS CAPTAIN ACTION TEAM

BARRY REESE JOINS CAPTAIN ACTION TEAM!

Airship 27 Productions and Captain Action Enterprises LLC are thrilled to welcome popular New Pulp writer Barry Reese to the Captain Action team.  Reese, known for his fast paced, action pulp series such as the Peregrine, Lazarus Gray and Gravedigger, will be making his debut in the third Captain Action novel from Airship 27 Productions.

Since their partnership with Captain Action Enterprises began several years ago, Airship 27 Productions has released two Captain Action full length novels; “Riddle of the Glowing Men” and “Hearts of the Rising Sun,” both by writer Jim Beard. Last year a Lady Action novelette, “The Sands of Forever” was authored by Airship 27 Productions’ Managing Editor, Ron Fortier.

“This is a really great franchise,” said Fortier recently.  “Not only do these books appeal our pulp readers, but also to the legions of Captain Action toy collectors.  It just seemed a natural fit right from the start.  Jim Beard’s first two novels were a big hit and it’s been clear all along that our fans want more.”

Whereas Beard’s own fast rising success began to infringe on his available time, he was still hoping to get a third Captain Action novel done.  Eventually realizing that would be impossible, Beard reached out to his friend and colleague Barry Reese to see if he was available to help with the project.  After receiving approval from all parties involved, the two writers worked out their plans.

“I'm providing a full plot and chapter breakdown,” Beard explained, “as well as providing oversight for every step of the writing to insure characterization and continuity to the previous two novels.”

As for Reese, his own excitement was evident from the start.  "As a lifelong fan of the Captain Action character, I'm thrilled to be able to work with Jim in adding new layers to the legend! We've both bursting with enthusiasm about the project and I can't think of a better writer to be teaming up with!"

So there you have it, pulp fans; the first ever team up of Jim Beard and Barry Reese to bring you the third action packed Captain Action adventure in this continuing series from Airship 27 Productions and Captain Action Enterprises, LLC.  Look for the yet untitled book coming your way in early 2017.

DOMINO LADY Vol 2

AIRSHIP 27 PRODUCTIONS
Presents
THE RETURN OF THE DOMINO LADY

Airship 27 Productions is thrilled to announce that pulpdom’s sexiest masked adventure is back in a brand new collection of her sexy exploits.  From a gang of corrupt policemen to secret Nazis saboteurs out to destroy the Los Angeles Olympics, the beautiful and wily crime-fighter has her hands full in this new quartet of tales by Gene Moyers, Brad Mengel, Robert Ricci and Paul Findley.

“Volume One of this series was a whopping success for us,” reports Airship 27 Productions’ Managing Editor Ron Fortier.  “We couldn’t keep copies on our tables at the pulp cons.  Our readers, both men and women, are extremely fascinated by this character as there were so few female pulp heroes back in the 30s and 40s.”

Airship 27 Productions was also thrilled to reassemble the art team that made Volume One so beautiful for the fans.  Under the helm of Art Director Rob Davis, artist James Lyle delivered another twelve fantastic black and white interior illustrations while Canadian Ted Hammond offered his second Domino Lady cover; a stunning image that captures the allure and mystery inherent in this great character.

As always, lovely socialite Ellen Patrick weaves her way in and out of trouble, donning her black silk domino mask whenever injustice rears its ugly head. From the time of her father’s murder, Ellen has dedicated herself to righting wrongs.  She just does it in a most peculiar fashion becoming the pulps’ most alluring and deadly hero; the Domino Lady.

ADVENTURES OF LANCE STAR SKY RANGER

THE ADVENTURES
Of
LANCE STAR – SKY RANGER
By Bobby Nash

Way back in 2005, Airship 27 Productions launched a new series of pulp adventures featuring aviation hero, Lance Star.  One of the four writers recruited for that first volume was Bobby Nash, who quickly found himself completely enamored with the gutsy World War I veteran flyer.  Enough so that in the subsequent three volumes that would follow, Bobby made sure to provide a new story for each.

“It was clear to us,” admits Airship 27 Productions Managing Editor Ron Fortier, “that Bobby had a special love for this character.  Enough so that we transferred the copyrights to him.  Soon thereafter Bobby wrote and had published the first ever Lance Star comic book.”

When Nash approached Fortier a few years ago about publishing the first ever full length Lance Star novel, both parties were immediately on board with the idea.  That novel, tentatively titled – COLD SNAP, should be out sometime in 2017.  To promote its arrival, Airship 27 Productions has collected all four of Bobby Nash’s previously published Lance Star tales in this Kindle Only Edition.  Besides collecting those great pulp stories, this digital collection also includes the first chapter of Nash’s novel as a special bonus feature.

“We’re excited about Bobby’s plans for Lance Star,” concludes Fortier.  “We hope this collection will spur renewed interest in this great high flying hero.  Believe me, with a rising talent like Bobby Nash, the best is always yet to come.”

MARK JUSTICE'S THE DEAD SHERIFF

AIRSHIP 27 PRODUCTIONS
Presents
MARK JUSTICE’S – THE DEAD SHERIFF

On the 10th of Feb of this year, writer/radio host Mark Justice passed away at the age of 57. During the course of his short life, he wrote dozens of great horror, fantasy and pulp action tales. One of his last creations was “The Dead Sheriff” originally released a few years ago by another publisher.

Richard O’Malley is a hard working Boston reporter in the years following the Civil War.  He is fascinated by tales of the Wild West and the colorful frontiersmen who are taming it. None captivate him more than the stories of the Dead Sheriff; a dedicated lawman who had risen from the grave to continue his mission. Taking his life savings, O’Malley embarks on a personal quest to find this mythical figure and chronicle his exploits. What he finds will make them both legends.

Airship 27 Productions Managing Editor relates the history behind this new edition.  “Prior to his death, Mark contacted us to see if we would be willing to reprint this brilliant weird western of his.  Mark, a regular contributor to our books, loved how we dress up our titles with classic pulp-like covers and use interior illustrations.  Mark wanted “The Dead Sheriff” to have that authentic pulp touch and we were only to happy to deliver.”

When the author passed away unexpectedly, Fortier was left wondering if the project would ever be completed.  “When Mark’s wife, Norma Kay, contacted me several months later, I was delighted. Norma was aware of Mark’s desire to see this new edition get done and gave us her blessing to continue with the project.  We honestly could not have done it without her.”

Fortier then assembled his art team under the guidance of Art Director Rob Davis.  Canadian Art Cooper was recruited to do the nine black and white interior illustrations and for the ghoulish western cover, Zachary Brunner was brought on board.  “When we explained to them the significance of this project” adds Fortier, “both of them were thrilled and honored to sign on in helping to keep Mark’s dream alive.  And they delivered above and beyond.  This is truly one of the most beautiful books we have ever put out.”

Now Airship 27 Productions is thrilled to bring pulp fans Mark Justice’s most original creation in this new, expanded edition; the first of a brand new series starring…THE DEAD SHERIFF.

THE PHANTOM DETECTIVE Vol 1

AIRSHIP 27 PRODUCTIONS
Presents
THE PHANTOM DETECTIVE Vol One.

High atop the Clarion Tower, a blinking red light begins to pulse signaling one of New York City’s most illustrious, vigilante heroes, the Phantom Detective.  In reality, he is Curtis Van Loan, a debonair playboy millionaire well known in the society columns of all the major dailies. What is hidden from the public is Van Loan’s dedication to law and order. A decorated combat pilot during World War I, he is an expert fencer, ju-jitsu master and speaks a dozen foreign tongues fluently.

Hidden in his Park Avenue penthouse is a secret closet in which are found clothing of all descriptions and sizes.  Along the wall are weapons; automatic rifles, sub-machine guns. There is also a miniature lab along with an extensive make-up kit that allows him to don different faces as his mission requires.  Forget the silly Top Hat featured on the old pulp covers, while in action the Phantom Detective wore a belted topcoat, a fedora and black domino mask. He carried a .45 automatic and a hidden knife in his left sleeve.

“The Phantom Detective was another of those great B characters,” offers Airship 27 Productions Managing Editor, Ron Fortier. “His were more straight forward detective tales.  Unlike the other masked avengers, he had no supernatural abilities and relied on his wits to solve the crimes he tackled from month to month.”

One of the hallmarks of the Phantom Detective pulp magazine were its popular “giant head” composition covers wherein smaller figures were depicted n the lower foreground  while behind them was the looming giant head of the hero in his mask and trademark top hat.  In recruiting the amazing Pat Carbajal to do this cover, Art Director Rob Davis, worked with the artist to pay homage to those old classic compositions; including using the same logo brand above the picture.  Interiors were provided by artist Andrew Ritchie.

“The idea of doing a traditional Detective Phantom cover was too tempting to pass up,” adds Fortier.  “But this time, we were committed to showcasing the hero as he appeared in the actual stories, without that silly top hat. We think Pat knocked it out of the ballpark.”

Now, this popular pulp icon returns to once more battle villainy and crime in five new cases by Gene Moyers, Whit Howland, Robert Ricci and Gary Lovisi; who turns in two.  Each recaptures the fun, excitement and thrills of this classic hero from the past; the Phantom Detective.

PURPLE SCAR Vol 2

AIRSHIP 27 PRODUCTIONS
Presents –
THE PURPLE SCAR Vol 2

Airship 27 Productions is thrilled to announce the release of its second anthology starring the haunted hero of the pulps, the Purple Scar.

When Dr. Miles Murdoch’s brother was murdered by the mobs, he vowed vengeance. In the following weeks, wearing a horrifying death mask, a new avenger appeared on the streets of Akelton, bringing with him righteous retribution.  Now the city finds itself under protection of a haunted hero, a mysterious angel of doom who metes out his own brand of permanent justice.

In this second volume featuring this little known classic pulp figure, writers Gene Moyers, Paul Kevin Findley, Erik Franklin and David Noe pit the purple hued Master of Fright against a quartet of villainous opponents from a gang of deadly jewel thieves to a merciless arsonist bent burning down the entire city. In these new tales of the Purple Scar, justice and horror are on a collision course you don’t want to miss.

“The Scar, as he was tagged in the stories, is one of the more obscure second string pulp heroes  of them all,” claims Airship 27 Productions Managing Editor, Ron Fortier.  “The thing that always fascinated me about the character was how, via his grotesque death mask, he embodied both horror and action pulps blending them together in a truly unique fashion not found in any other hero mag.”

In this second volume, all art is by the talented Marco Santiago, including the cover which was colored by Shannon Hall.  Book design provided by Airship 27’s Award Winning Art Director Rob Davis.  And all brought to pulp fans just in time for Halloween.  So strap on your .38, pull on that ugly purple mask and get ready to enjoy a little Trick or Treating in the gruesome Purple Scar style!

DEAD MAN'S MELODY

LAUNCHING NEW MYSTERY SERIES!

Airship 27 Productions is proud to announce the release of Fred Adams Jr.’ s newest mystery novel, “Dead Man’s Melody.”  This is the first in a series by one of New Pulp’s finest new writers.

Fifteen years ago Sam Dunne was the lead guitarist and singer for the popular rock band, Gin Sing.  Critics and fans prophesied a meteoric rising the top of the music charts.  Then his bandmates, Eddie Shay and Danny Barton, kicked him to the curb and went chasing after rock stardom without him.

Now Dunne works small one night gigs while teaching English Lit at a community college.  He’s let the past go and learned to accept things as they are.  Then one morning he turns on the radio to learn Shay has been murdered, shot to death in his private home studio.

Soon the police start focusing their attention Dunne as a “person of interest.”  It’s a custom made set up, with him as the chief suspect due to a fifteen year old grudge he’s suppose to be nurturing. When common sense proves to be useless, the former rocker is left with only one recourse; to do his own investigating and find the killer before he’s fitted with a prison wardrobe.

“Fred Adams is not just a good writer,” says Airship 27 Productions’ Managing Editor Ron Fortier. “He’s far and away the best new writer to enter the New Pulp market in the last ten years.  And that’s no exaggeration on my part.  A former college teacher of English Composition, Adams technical know-how is evident immediately in any of his works. What is the surprise is that intangible storytelling gift he displays.  His stories pull readers effortlessly into whatever scenario his mind has whipped up and instantly takes them along for the ride.  Honestly, reading a Fred Adams book is like the best damn desert you ever ate.”

Now writer Fred Adams Jr. spins a gritty, fascinating mystery authentically set in the world of sex, drugs and rock roll delivering a masterful reading experience along the way.   Artist Richard Jun provides the black and white interior illustrations and Rob Davis, award winning Art Director for Airship 27 provides the cover.  All of which make “Dead Man’s Melody” is clearly a cut above the rest.

RICK LAI'S MAJOR SABBATH

AIRSHIP 27 PRODUCTIONS
Presents
RICK LAI’S MAJOR SABBATH

Airship 27 Productions is thrilled to be teaming up with New Pulp author and historian, Rick Lain in debuting a new hero born in the Italian Spaghetti Westerns.

Throughout the history of American western movies, iconic characters were used over and over again until they became stables of these cowboy flicks.  There were always the good guys portrayed as the pioneers, farmers, and lawmen whereas the other side of the coin had the outlaws, raiding Indians and tyrannical cattle barons.  It seemed if you were doing a western, these types were always present.

But when the 1960s debut the invasion of Italian made oaters, a little used character suddenly seemed to take center stage; the bounty hunter.  He was the cold, calculating man in black who hunted the meanest, deadliest owlhoots for a cash reward.

“The thing we try to do every day here at Airship 27 is be receptive to really new and fun ideas for our books,” says Managing Editor Ron Fortier.  “This particular project was born at the Windy City Pulp & Paper convention two years ago when Rick brought up this idea of doing a fictional series based on a recurring character in the Spaghetti movies he and I both love.”

Inspired by these action-packed Spaghetti Westerns, writer Rick Lai has created a terrific new hero in Major Sabbath.  A veteran of the Civil War, he now roams the Wild West as the most efficient manhunter of them all.  Lai, along with Erik Franklin and Frank Schildiner, offer up a trio of gun-blasting tales featuring this man with the penetrating angel eyes and lightning fast draw. Once you meet Major Sabbath, you’ll never forget him.

Popular artist Pat Carbajal provides the cover and Michael Dean Jackson the interior illustrations.  The book also features an extensive article on the Van Cleef’s history in the Italian cinema with its focus on this iconic bounty hunter hero.  In all, there’s more all out shoot’em action between these pages than in a dozen other westerns.  “Rick Lai’s Major Sabbaoth” is truly one of a kind.

HITWOLF 2 The Pack

AIRSHIP 27 PRODUCTIONS
Presents
HITWOLF 2 – The Pack

Airship 27 Productions is thrilled to be releasing the exciting sequel to Fred Adams Jr. crime/horror thriller “Hitwolf.”  In “Hitwolf 2 – The Pack” the hunt continues.

Oct. 1969.  It has been several months since veteran Green Beret Jim Slate escaped captivity at the hands of New Jersey mob boss, Michael Monzo.  Employing a mercenary wizard, Monzo had transformed Slate into a werewolf with the intentions of using him as his own personal “hitwolf.”  But Slate managed to foil Monzo and fled to the New Jersey wilderness known as the Barrens.

There he rendezvoused with three of his former army pals and related his harrowing experiences.  Knowing the mob will never stop hunting Slate, the team heads for the swamps of Chambliss, Georgia to hide out.  At their request, Slate turns Swede and Haines into werewolves while the third, Singer, opts to remain the solo “normal” one of the squad.  Things get worst when, through some Washington contacts, Slate learns he was betrayed by his former C.I.A. liaisons in Nam.  Now they have added their considerable resources in capturing him and the others.

Determined to use their new found abilities only to defend themselves against their enemies, Slate walks a delicate tightrope hoping the beasts he and his mates carry in their veins can be controlled.  If not, then all hell will break loose and even the blood of the innocent will flow.

“Fred Adams Jr. is one of the best New Pulp writers in the field today,” says Airship 27 Production Manager, Ron Fortier.  “His work is always fresh, original and fast paced.  The classic hallmarks of excellent pulp-fiction.  When Adams wrote HITWOLF,  we knew we had a winner on our hands.  It’s a creepy blend of gangster and horror genres mixed to taut, suspenseful perfection.  And it was ripe for sequels.  Now he delivers THE PACK and the action picks up exactly where book one ended.”

Artist Zachary Brunner provides the stunning cover with Clayton Hinkle doing the interior illustrations.  All whipped together by Award Winning Art Director Rob Davis to offer up another over-the-top thriller by the one and only Fred Adams, Jr.  Bolt the doors, put on the lights and get ready for a fun chiller of a ride.

PULP CONFIDENTIAL

AIRSHIP 27 PRODUCTIONS
Debuts New Mystery Crime Series!

Airship 27 Productions is damn happy to announce the debut of their first ever mystery crime series, Pulp Confidential Vol. One.

“This is something our fans have been clamoring for,” admits Airship 27 Productions’ Managing Editor, Ron Fortier.  “Year after year, they come to our tables at pulp shows and ask if we have any mystery titles.  We would point them to our best selling Sherlock Holmes – Consulting Detective books to which they would merely shrug.  They made it quite clear what they wanted was old fashion mystery anthologies in the vein of the  Black Mask Mystery or Clue.

Although Airship 27 did release a pulp private eye series in The Ruby Files a few years ago, there was no active anthology series.  Now that missing piece in their publishing goals has been finally addressed with Pulp Confidential Vol. One.

The series kicks off with two original mysteries both worlds and times apart.  Tim Bruckner’s novella, Scared Pretty, opens things up with a novella set in 1930s Hollywoodland where a sadistic serial killer is on the loose. This is followed by British writer Derek Lantin’s first ever published work, The Missing Beauty.  It’s a modern day thriller about a London accountant who flies to Bangkok on assignment and then finds himself caught in a kidnapping and murder.

“Both of these are truly well-crafted mysteries,” Fortier continues.  “That they were so different from one was fun of assembling the volume.  It’s our hopes future volumes in the series will contain all kinds of crime mysteries as diverse as the genre truly is.”  Pulp Confidential Vol. One. features both cover and interior illustrations by the popular Rob Moran, whose love of old American black and white crime movies is well documented in his own art books.  Warren Montgomery provided colors which harkened back the drug store crime magazine racks with Art Director Rob Davis putting everything together.

“We’re hoping our fans will applaud the debut of this series,” Fortier concludes.  “And that it will attract lots of great mystery submissions.  I mean, really, who doesn’t doesn’t love a good mystery?”

Airship 27 Productions is thrilled to be introducing to the world of pulp fiction a brand new mystic hero in The Persona created by writer Michael Housel.

It is 1938 in Brick Town, NJ, and a mayoral campaign is underway.  What the citizens are unaware of is that their little hamlet has become the target of a demonic cult known as the Ministry of Chaotic Command and they are sponsoring a candidate who is in actuality a demonic being.

But before the servants of evil can unleash their horror, Brick Town’s leading businessman, Michael Mansford, is spirited away to a mystical realm that exist between life and death.  There he is recruited as agent of the Light by a supernatural being calling himself Mr. Surrogate.  Surrogate bestows upon Mansford a magical golden mask. Upon donning this grim false-face, Mansford is transformed into a powerful mystic who will become known as the Persona.

His task, to expose Hell’s secret invasion and defeat the Demon Monster that threatens all he loves and holds dear.  But can he succeed?  To do so he will have to sublimate his own identity and become this new and relentless warrior; THE PERSONA.

Delving into the field of Occult Mysteries, Michael Housel has produced a truly amazing debut adventure for his exciting new hero.  Says Ron Fortier, Managing Editor of Airship 27 Productions, “The fun of this job is finding new, talented writers like Michael Housel and discovering their creations.  The Persona is going to blaze new trails in pulp fiction, I guarantee it.”  Canadian artist Art Cooper provides the interior illustrations and first time cover artist, Shannon Hall the stunning cover.  All assembled by Award Winning Art Director, Rob Davis.

This is the first in a planned series starring this great new pulp hero, so be sure to hop on the bandwagon with this fast paced origin story.
